Tucked away at the end of a quiet dead-end road, Branch and Blade Brewing offers a unique and welcoming atmosphere for beer lovers and families alike. The brewery features two outdoor seating areas one shaded and one open for sun seekers as well as a small playground that makes it a surprisingly kid-friendly destination.. 👶🛝

🍔 Food & Dietary Notes

They have an extended food menu, be mindful though, all food is fried in beef tallow, including the nacho chips, so if you are vegan or vegetarian, ask before ordering any food items. That was the downside to this trip as my traveler could not eat anything offered on the menu. I will say the beertender did try really hard to accommodate the food, it was just a let down as he could not locate one item that was vegetarian/vegan friendly.

🍺 Beer Experience

Despite the food limitations, the beer itself was a highlight. The marshmallow-infused IPA was a pleasant surprise sweet notes lingered on the finish without overpowering the palate. The IPAs on tap were visually similar, so if you're ordering a flight, be sure to grab a beer list and ask what direction they flow in. We didn’t receive a list back, and the beertender couldn’t recall which beer was which, which turned our tasting into a bit of a mystery flight fun, but not ideal for serious tasters🤣.

🚗 Would I Return?

It was a good visit overall. Would I drive two hours just for the beer? Probably not unless I had other plans in Keene. If they expanded their food offerings to include more inclusive options, especially for plant-based diets, I’d absolutely make the trip again.
