Hornburg Brewery

165 Peterborough Rd Hancock, NH.

We traveled North and stopped into Hornburg Brewery for a pint. This Veteran owned, working family farm decided to build and establish a brewery in 2020. This small, quaint brewery packs a tasteful drink! The beers are Norse inspired beer. Norse, is a fermented drink made from barley, water, yeast, and sometimes honey. Honey is used more for different meads. Norse was made by women in Viking communities. This brewery is just that, based off Vikings, from the Sheep with the horns outside to the decor inside. It is a very cool spot. Dean the beertender is the nephew of the owner, he helped build the small brewery. He was very friendly and personable.

The sheep were friendly and very curious to the people walking in. They were skidish when you went up to the fence. The beer does change on occasion from Red to and IPA to an English Ale. We were lucky to try the IPA, the English and a bit of the Cranberry Mead. We did grab some Red to go's and enjoyed them the next day. We look forward in a Spring time visit where we will be able to sit outside and enjoy some local food trucks that pop in on occasion. They do offer non-alcoholic beverages and bar snacks. Children are welcome.

I will never tell you not to go somewhere, I will always tell you go and make your own adventure.

Cheers! 🍻
